Day 2

After a wonderful night’s sleep in a huge king sized bed  (and Jonathan a double size bed)
started the day with a beautiful  brekky of homemade muffins and crispy bacon with Don and
Margaret and off into the wild of Banking and shopping. Allie found plenty of bargains as
always and we had lots of fun exploring our old shopping “haunts”.  For dinner, Don and
Margaret took us to one of our favourite restaurants in Texas, The Ponder Ranchman’s Steak
House where we had the most divine chicken fried steak, fries, chicken fried tomatoes (yum)
and the sweetest bread rolls ever!

 

Afterwards, we sampled the coconut meringue pie which was just heavenly. Linda and Mel – I am sure that you remember the restaurant at Ponder – they have a new front screen door but otherwise the place is exactly the same!
