Day 3

After another night’s great sleep we breakfasted on eggs, crispy bacon and muffins at
Don & Margaret’s place.  We were going to visit the ranch this afternoon so we hurried on
out in our rented Chevy Cobalt to visit the Bank of America and then stop in at Denton’s
huge Wallymart.  Again, we picked up so many bargains, we were well pleased with our purchases.
Don drove us out to their Ranch in Margaret’s GMC Yukon (and what a magnificent truck) which
is situated about thirty minutes away at Tioga.  They now have 29 quarter horses in total
and two barns with the apartment attached to one of the barns. We saw Jerry-Lee and Handsome
Hank the two longhorn steers and patted the horses in their stalls and watched Rosie the
boxer dog chasing all the female horses in the paddocks.  It was real fun!
We went to dinner at El Fenix a local Dallas restaurant chain of Mexican food and it was
incredibly good!  Nick and I both had the chicken chimichangas and JR had cheese and
chicken quesadillas.  Afterwards JR had sophapillas for dessert whilst Nick had a 3 milk
cake covered in chocolate (just divine) and I had an icebox lemon pie.  The pie was so good
that Jonathan had a second dessert of the pie.  They were huge helpings but JR managed to
eat it all!
Not many photos taken today as I forgot to charge the camera battery!
